1) I FINALLY BOUGHT MY PLANE TICKET!!!! AM LEAVING ON TUESDAY FROM K-TOWN!!!!!!
2) BOOKED IN AT MEXICO CITY FOR THE FIRST 4 NIGHTS :)
3) BOOKED IN AT MY LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN CUERNAVACA WITH A HOST FAMILY (we'll see what that's like...)
other tales of late:
1) On monday, october 16th, I mourned the loss of my toe-nail.... it was a small ceremony, he was hard working, a true sportsman and will be missed by the other nine members. Particularly while I'm traveling and someone accidently steps on my foot... ouch!
2) Have spent some time visiting some old high school friends and their houses/children. Has been good remembering where I'm from and edifying..

Hey, quick comment - don't get conned by the dudes at the airport with regards to the "registered taxis"... They will often take you on a joyride, then drop you at a hotel that gives them a commission esp if you arrive late at night. Make sure you have the phone number of you hostel or hotel and clear instructions on how to get there. Talk to the guys before they leave the airport - tell them if they need help finding the place, then they should call right away from the airport because if they don't take you to the hotel you want, you will be coming back in the same taxi and asking for a refund.

Dianne! I'm so excited for you!! This is going to be such an amazing trip. I just came back from two weeks in Salylita, Mexico and I had such a phenomenal time. The weather was just my style and the standard of living was so chillaxin' I didn't want to leave. I sure wished I could speak the language though! Keep us updated on your well deserved adventures!
