Happy New Year!!!
San Cristobal de las Casas managed to warm up during the day... it was just FREEZING during the night. I managed to bring in the new year with lots of life Mexican pop and a gang of people.
Today we got up very early (6am) after going to bed at 3.... headed to the Mizol-Ha (big water fall), Agua Azul (cascading waterfalls) and the ruins of Palenche and managed to get dumped on in the rain... ended up steeling black garbage bags and cutting holes in them... ruins were fun and interesting... and very very WET!
Heading off tonight in a bus towards Campeche and Merida... looking forward to seeing some sun, some beach and a laundry mat.
Check out this dog that we saw at the top of a church the day before in San Cristobal... it's a little bizarre... he seemed to take a liking to the manger scene:

Great to hear about your adventures. I love mexico too... it's either property here in Brazil or Mexico (or maybe argentina) but who knows yet. I guess I need to make a decision before these country's money gets any stronger :D Trace
